Ranching

Live foundations + in-development additions · Future additions are identified in the relevant sections.

Animals are part of your production

Ranching turns space, time, and feed into useful products. Choose an animal you have unlocked, place it under the current ranching rules, keep up with its feed requirements, and collect its production.

Different animals have different costs, feeding needs, and outputs. Use the live animal description for those details rather than a copied list of numbers from an older update.

Feed and storage come first

Animals connect to farming because feed can require crop produce. Expanding a ranch without checking feed demand can leave you with more animals than your current farm or purchasing routine supports.

Warehouse capacity matters too. Plan what you will keep, process, deliver, or sell before the next collection. Some products have a direct use, while others become more useful after processing.

Wool and other outputs

Wool is one example of a land-produced material that connects existing activities. It can be used through the available exchange or order systems and processed into Cloth. Other animal products follow their own recipes and order requirements.

In the update, equipment services and kingdom manufacturing will provide additional approved uses for land materials and processed goods. This does not mean every ranch product will be used by every new recipe.

Ranch animals are not combat pets

Ranch animals produce goods on your land. Adventure pets accompany your character and participate in combat. Keeping animals in a ranch does not automatically create a combat pet, and a pet egg is not an ordinary ranch animal purchase.

The distinction matters when planning an upgrade or a trade. Look at the item type and its actual use, not just whether both items depict an animal.

Read Adventure Pets for the pet update and Processing & Storage for production chains.
